Frequently asked questions

Does Kynex upload my files to the cloud?

No. Kynex copies files directly from your device to the destination you choose. Your media is not uploaded to our servers.

Can I resume an interrupted transfer?

Yes. Kynex saves transfer progress locally. If a transfer is interrupted, you can continue from the Home screen when your USB drive is available again.

Why did my transfer pause?

Transfers pause automatically if the USB destination becomes unavailable or if there is not enough free space on the drive. Reconnect the drive and tap Resume.

Does Kynex delete files from my phone?

Only if you explicitly enable delete-after-transfer in settings. By default, Kynex copies files and leaves your originals untouched.

My drive does not appear in Files

Try a different cable or adapter, confirm the drive works on a computer, and make sure it uses a format iOS can read. A powered USB hub can help for large transfers.

Tip

Use a powered USB hub for large transfers to reduce the chance of disconnections while copying thousands of files.
